Precision stone production methods for every project requirement

Illustrative study — not a completed project
Our primary service

Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet is our primary production method for intricate stone patterns, inlays, medallions, and custom shapes. Each project is reviewed around its design and selected material before production.

Our waterjet service translates approved patterns and layouts into custom stone pieces. We review the design and selected material together, then agree the production approach before work begins.

Applications

  • Decorative floor medallions and inlays
  • Complex geometric and floral pattern flooring
  • Architectural cladding panels with precise cutouts
  • Kitchen and bathroom countertops with sink and hob cutouts
  • Wall feature panels and decorative wall art
  • Custom signage and lettering in stone
  • Tabletops and furniture components
  • Swimming pool and fountain stone elements
  • Thresholds, stair treads, and architectural profiles
  • Custom stone shapes and templates for any application

What you provide

Share a drawing, sketch, reference image, or clear description. We will review what is suitable for production and confirm what is needed next.

Deliverables

Custom stone pieces produced to the approved design and prepared for handoff. Installation remains outside iStoneΓÇÖs direct service.

Supporting service

CNC Engraving

Computer-controlled engraving for text, patterns, and relief compositions on suitable stone surfaces.

CNC engraving brings lettering, patterns, and relief compositions to suitable stone surfaces. Each design is reviewed for its visual intent, material, and required finish before production.

Applications

  • Arabic calligraphy and Quranic verse engraving
  • Name plaques and commemorative stones
  • Architectural numbering and directional signage
  • Logo and branding engraving on stone
  • Decorative border patterns and friezes
  • Shallow relief panels and decorative insets

What you provide

Share the text, artwork, pattern, or reference you want to develop. We will confirm the production input required after review.

Deliverables

Engraved stone pieces produced to the approved composition and agreed finish.

3D Stone Carving & Relief

Custom stone carving combining traditional craftsmanship with modern tooling for sculptural pieces, deep relief panels, and architectural ornamentation.

Applications

  • Deep relief wall panels and feature walls
  • Column capitals, corbels, and architectural brackets
  • Custom fireplace surrounds and mantels
  • Sculptural stone elements for interior design
  • Heritage restoration and ornamental reproduction
  • Artistic stone sculptures and one-off pieces

What you provide

Share your concept through sketches, reference photos of existing work, 3D models, or detailed descriptions. We will assess feasibility and recommend the best production approach.

Stone carving at iStone bridges traditional sculptural techniques with contemporary production methods. Our team produces custom sculptural pieces, deep relief panels, column capitals, and architectural ornamentation in marble, limestone, and granite. Relief carving creates raised or recessed designs on a flat stone background. Deep relief - where elements project significantly from the background - creates dramatic shadow play and visual depth that flat engraving cannot achieve. This technique is widely used for feature walls, entrance statements, and heritage-style architectural detailing. Each carving project is assessed individually. The stone type, design complexity, and required depth determine the production approach - from CNC roughing followed by hand-finishing to fully manual sculptural work for one-off artistic pieces.

Deliverables

Carved stone pieces with the agreed finish level - from rough-carved for on-site refinement to fully finished and polished sculptural work.

Laser Surface Engraving

Laser marking and engraving on marble and stone surfaces for high-contrast imagery, detailed photographs, and fine-resolution graphics.

Laser surface engraving uses a focused laser beam to create permanent marks and imagery on stone surfaces. Unlike mechanical engraving, laser marking does not physically cut into the stone - it creates contrast through surface reaction, producing dark marks on lighter stone or light marks on darker stone. This method excels at reproducing photographic imagery, fine-resolution graphics, and detailed illustrations on marble and stone surfaces. It is particularly effective for memorial plaques with portrait imagery, architectural presentation boards, and decorative panels where photographic detail is required. Important: Laser engraving on marble is a surface marking process, not a cutting process. It produces high-contrast surface imagery but does not cut through the stone. For applications requiring cuts or deep engraving, waterjet cutting or CNC engraving are the appropriate methods.

Applications

  • Memorial plaques with portrait imagery
  • Photographic reproduction on marble surfaces
  • Architectural presentation and dedication boards
  • Decorative panels with detailed illustrations
  • Fine-resolution logo and branding on stone

What you provide

Share the image or artwork you want to explore. We will review whether the surface process is suitable and confirm the required source material.

Deliverables

Surface-marked stone pieces produced to the approved artwork. This service is surface treatment, not marble cutting.

Design Creation & Preparation

Convert your ideas, sketches, or reference images into production-ready digital files optimised for precision stone fabrication.

Design preparation helps turn an early idea into a clear production brief. Share a sketch, reference, or drawing and we will develop the information needed to review the proposed work.

Applications

Converting hand sketches to production-ready vector files
Pattern layout and slab material optimisation
Nesting multiple parts for efficient material use
Creating cutting lists from architectural drawings
Preparing files for waterjet, CNC, and laser production
Design consultation and feasibility assessment

What you provide

Anything you have: hand sketches, reference photos, architectural drawings, inspiration images, verbal descriptions, rough dimensions, or existing digital files.

Deliverables

Production-ready digital files in the correct format for your chosen production method, along with a material usage estimate and cutting layout.

No charge or obligation

Free Initial Consultation

Not sure which production method is right for your project? Every project begins with a free consultation. Share your idea, and our engineer will assess the best production approach, material considerations, and provide an honest feasibility assessment - without charge or obligation.

The process

From Your Idea to Finished Stone

Every iStone project follows a clear, engineer-led production process. We work from your design files, prepare them for the appropriate production method, select and prepare the stone material, execute the cutting or engraving with precision equipment, and complete the piece with finishing and quality inspection. Collection and delivery are coordinated separately with each client.
